Captain Jim grew up on the east
coast and moved to the west coast of Florida in early 1990. He has
been fishing the coastal waters of the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico
since childhood. At an early age, he found he had a passion for both
fishing and hunting and knew he
wanted to have a career which included his enjoyment for the outdoors.
Captain Jim attended Baker University, were he
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology
and Chemistry.
Captain Jim
has been licensed as a United States
Coast Guard Captain for over 7 years and is the owner of "Inshore Slam Fishing Charters LLC".
He spends over 200 days a year on the water and in the outdoors
guiding others in his passions. He also spends a significant amount of time
promoting fishing and hunting products and working with state and federal
"not for profit"
agencies promoting responsible living with our environment and
protection of resources. He has been a guest speaker at local and
national events, including local fishing clubs, and tackle and outdoor
industry retailers. He has been a guest host of Simply Bananas Fishing
show hosted by Captains Joel and Ric on
WHNZ 1250 am Tampa.

sporting clays, and is a Life Member of National Rifle
Association. He is an NRA certified Law Enforcement Pistol and Shotgun Instructor, and Certified Glock®
Amorer.
In
2002, he became a partner in "SMS
Wildlife Management Preserve", a hunting lodge, known for
their upland bird hunting and Whitetail Deer. The Lodge is located in
Glasco, Kansas.
