Captain Jim grew up fishing the
waters of Long Island, and moved to the west coast of Florida in 1990.
He has been fishing the coastal waters of the Atlantic and the Gulf of
Mexico and freshwater lakes for nearly 50 years. At an early age, he
found his passion for people, fishing, hunting and directed his career
to include sales marketing and now his favorite past time. Captain Jim
attended college, were he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and
Chemistry with concentrations in wildlife biology.
Captain Jim is licensed as a
United States Coast Guard Captain since 2001 and holds a
100 Ton Masters License and Commercial Towing Endorsement,.
He is the owner of
"Inshore Slam Fishing Charters LLC". He spends over 200 days a year on
the water and in the outdoors guiding others in his passions. He also
spends a significant amount of time promoting fishing and hunting
products as well as working with local state and federal agencies
promoting responsible living with our environment and protecting
resources. He is a frequent guest speaker at local and national events,
including local fishing clubs, tackle trade shows, including ICAST and
many other outdoor
retail purveyors. He is an accomplished outdoor writer and has often
been a guest on Tampa Radio. In 2011 he will be fishing various
redfish events, back on the Bass Circuit. fishing with long time
friend Captain Randy and will host "Slam Time
Fishing Show", broadcast on Sarasota radio and simulcast
on www.inshoreslamradio.com

In his spare time away from the water, Jim is active in shooting
sports, loves to hunt and is a Life Member of the NRA. He enjoys enjoys running, swimming,
cycling,
photography, travel and baseball.
